Even Fireman Ed is giving up on the Jets. The longtime fan, a former NYC firefighter, posted an editorial for Metro New York newspaper on Sunday declaring that he’ll no longer lead the team’s J-E-T-S chant at home games. Though Ed blames confrontations with fans as the reason for stepping down, the team’s 4-7 record didn’t help matters. (Heinz Kluetmeier/SI)
