Eighteen years ago today, Michael Jordan retired from the NBA to pursue his dream of playing professional baseball. He spent one season playing outfield for the Birmingham Barons, the Double A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, and batted .202 with three home runs and 51 RBIs.
