Larry Brown coaches the ABA’s Carolina Cougars during the 1972-73 season. He would go onto win Coach of the Year and lead the Cougars to a 104-64 record in two seasons with the team. Brown, now 71, has agreed to take over as head coach of the SMU Mustangs, his first college coaching position since Kansas in 1988. (AP)
