Usain Bolt outran fellow Jamaican Yohan Blake in the 100-meter dash on Sunday to capture the gold medal. The defending gold medalist struggled out of the blocks but overtook the field to finish in 9.63 seconds, the second-fastest 100 in history. Bolt joins Carl Lewis as the only men with consecutive gold medals in the Summer Games’ marquee track event. Justin Gatlin of the U.S. earned the bronze medal. (Bill Frakes/SI)
