As the NCAA Tournament gets set to begin, we look back at the 1989-90 UNLV Runnin’ Rebels. The squad took exception to the media’s portrayal of them as thugs and took on an “us against the world” mentality. That fire drove them to manhandle opponents throughout the tournament, putting up three 30-point victories, including the only championship game to hit the century mark in a 103-73 embarrassment of Duke.
